The Children’s Trust Council of Broward County

The Children’s Services Council of Broward County supports the Y’s youth development and family services programs to include afterschool, special needs, and more. The CSC provides leadership and resources to programs that serve children and families.

The Children’s Trust partners with the community to improve the lives of all children in Miami-Dade County by making strategic investments in their futures. Thanks to The Children’s Trust, our afterschool and summer camp programs at the Y have been enriched to meet the academic needs of today’s children. Our Y’s partnership with Miami-Dade County Public Schools impacts over 5,000 children each year. The Schools provide vital space and resources so that our Y can provide high quality afterschool programs and summer camps on their campuses. A true partner, our Y has close relationships with school officials, parents, and staff, all working together to educate and enrich the lives of children.

Miami-Dade County Park and Recreation Department

Miami-Dade County partners with the Y to provide the North Pointe YMCA Family Center and Youth Activity Center. Thanks to the County, our Y is able to serve thousands of families in county parks including the North Pointe YMCA.

21st Century Community Learning Centers

21st Century Community Learning Centers partner with the Y to provide students with out-of-school-time academic enrichment opportunities that are specifically designed to help students achieve local and state achievement goals in primary academic subjects and a broad array of additional activities that, while different from school-day activities, compliment and reinforce school-day learning.

YMCA READS!

YMCA READS! is a state-wide literacy mentoring program for children in kindergarten through third grade. Volunteer mentors meet twice a week with students after school to help them improve their literacy comprehension and basic reading skills. This is a free program for students who are referred by their teachers, and is located at the Y’s afterschool programs at Banyan Elementary SchoolNorth Lauderdale Elementary School, and Planatation Elementary School.

Click4Cleats partners with the Y by holding an athletic shoe drive, collecting new or gently used cleats, sneakers, athletic shoes and dance shoes for boys and girls of all ages.

Baptist Health South Florida partners with the YMCA’s Healthy Living initiatives.
