YMCA Youth Basketball League give players the opportunity to build their skills, compete and experience the excitement of game day in a positive, supportive environment. Throughout the season, players develop their game while learning teamwork, sportsmanship and confidence both on and off the court.

With 7 practices and 7 guaranteed games, every player gets the chance to practice, play and grow. And there’s no better place to play — basketball was invented at the YMCA!

FUN. FUNDAMENTALS. SPORTSMANSHIP.

YMCA’s Basketball Sports Academy consists of 45-minute beginner and intermediate classes that have an emphasis on building character and teaching sportsmanship, learning the fundamentals of the game through fun activities, and improving technical skills with drills. All academies are led by certified YMCA Sports Instructors. Academies take place on a monthly recurring basis.

COED ADULT BASKETBALL

The YMCA Adults Basketball League at the L.A. Lee YMCA / Mizell Community Center is a co-ed nine-week program in which men and women affiliated with community organizations and corporations complete in a series of games. Games are held weekly on Saturday and / or Sundays.
