The YMCA of South Florida is committed to providing a safe environment for our staff, members, and participants. Therefore, all employment offers are contingent on the candidates satisfactorily passing a thorough background screening consisting of a State, County, and FBI criminal background and drug screening. Additionally, individuals coming in direct contact with children will be subject to a level II screening which includes obtaining the applicant’s fingerprints.
Furthermore, the YMCA of South Florida follows the guidelines of the Department of Children and Families regarding disqualification of candidates convicted of offenses specified in the Affidavit of Good Moral Character. In addition, staff members who regularly drive in the course of their job must pass a Motor Vehicle Record check on an annual basis.
