The letters may spell “give” but when you support the YMCA of South Florida, it means so much more. The Y wants to ensure that our life-changing programs are available to every child, adult, senior and family in our community, regardless of their ability to pay for our services. Supporting the Y is easy. Please read below about the different ways that you can give back to help strengthen our community.
2019 ANNUAL CAMPAIGN
TOGETHER WE WILL BUILD A BETTER US
We are more than just a place, we are a cause. Every day, the Y strengthens South Florida through programs and services focused on Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
All children deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. The guidance of caring adults who believe in their potential help to facilitate this growth. We see every interaction with young people as an opportunity for learning and development—all grounded in the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Healthy Living and well-being are about balance. That’s why we help people and families build and maintain healthy habits for spirit, mind, and body in their daily lives. By helping children, adults, seniors and families from all walks of life to improve their health and well-being, we are building a stronger community.
Your generous donations help provide healthy spirit, mind and body to over 32,000 members and program participants receiving financial assistance locally.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
With our doors open to all, we bring together people from all backgrounds and support those who need us the most. We address the most urgent needs in our community and inspire a spirit of service in return. Together, our members, volunteers, supporters, and staff demonstrate the power of what we can achieve by giving back.
FAQ
The Y is leading 501c3 nonprofit committed to strengthening communities through Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. Every day, we work side by side with our neighbors to respond to our community’s most critical needs, specializing in programs for working parents, older adults, children and individuals seeking to live healthier lives and strengthen the community. We do this with your help to ensure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. We serve over 350,000 kids and families at our 9 membership locations and 200 afterschool sites. Deeply rooted in the community for more than 100 years, we have the long-standing relationships and physical presence not just to promise, but to deliver, lasting personal and social change.
Membership fees keep the lights on and the doors open. Donations invite everyone inside. At the Y, no family, adult or child gets turned away because of their inability to pay. Donated dollars provide membership and program assistance for individuals and families who could not afford to participate otherwise.
