The Y’s Youth Development Miami Afterschool Programs focus on safety, health, social growth and academic enhancement.Before and after the school bell rings, children in our on-site program are given a safe environment to boost academic skills and develop healthy habits that will carry with them throughout their lives, all under the guidance of caring adults.

ELEMENTARY INCLUSION PROGRAM

The Ys General Program provides a safe, positive environment for children that enhances academic performance, supports social, emotional and physical development and strengthens positive peer relationships in an afterschool setting. The Y Experience takes afterschool programming and summer camp above and beyond the quality standard using evidenced-based components:

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Teen club programs are designed to strengthen youth involvement and connections with their community, family, school and peers. Adolescent programs utilize best practice strategies, including research-based program models and curricula, to minimize risk and strengthen protective factors that develop resiliency needed for college and career success. Youth grow into independent, productive adults. The program is designed to allow several high-interest activities that build on the youth’s voice. Activities and Clubs include:
